Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to your use of the Gold Star Cabinets & Carpentry website and to enquiries made through it. By using this website or submitting an enquiry, you agree to these terms. A separate written quotation, scope of works or project agreement will apply to any confirmed project.

1. About Gold Star Cabinets

Gold Star Cabinets & Carpentry provides custom cabinetry and joinery services from our Perth workshop. Our services may include kitchens, wardrobes, laundries, bathroom vanities, entertainment units, commercial cabinetry and custom flat packs.

2. Enquiries and quotations

Website forms, emails and telephone conversations help us understand your project. An enquiry does not create a contract or guarantee that we can accept the work. A quotation is based on the information available at the time and may be subject to site measurements, drawings, access, approvals, material availability, hardware, finishes and the agreed scope.

A project becomes confirmed only when the quotation or project agreement has been accepted in writing and any required deposit or payment has been received. The written quotation will set out the applicable scope, inclusions, exclusions, pricing, payment schedule and estimated timing.

3. Design, measurements and approvals

We may provide design guidance, drawings or layout recommendations as part of the agreed service. You are responsible for checking and approving designs, colours, finishes, dimensions, appliance details and other selections before manufacture. Changes requested after approval may require a variation to price and timing.

Unless specifically agreed otherwise, site measurements and installation planning depend on reasonable access to the property and accurate information from the customer, builder or other project representatives.

4. Variations and additional work

Changes to the design, materials, hardware, quantities, site conditions, access arrangements or installation requirements may change the project price or schedule. We will seek approval for material variations where reasonably practicable before carrying out the additional work. Work outside the original written scope may be charged at the agreed or applicable rate.

5. Deposits and payments

Deposits, progress payments and final payments are due as stated in the accepted quotation or project agreement. We may pause design, manufacture, delivery or installation if an amount is overdue, after giving any notice required by the agreement or applicable law. Ownership and payment terms for supplied goods will be governed by the accepted quotation and applicable law.

6. Manufacturing, delivery and installation

Estimated dates are provided in good faith and may change because of approvals, material or hardware availability, manufacturing requirements, transport, site readiness, other trades or events outside our reasonable control. We will make reasonable efforts to communicate significant changes.

The customer must provide safe, clear and suitable access to the site, ensure relevant building work is ready, protect personal items and notify us of hazards, restrictions or services that may affect the work. Installation may be rescheduled where the site is not ready or safe.

7. Cancellation and suspension

Cancellation requests must be made in writing. Any cancellation, refund, restocking, design, manufacturing, delivery or other charges will be handled according to the accepted quotation or project agreement and applicable law. Custom-made goods may have limited cancellation options once materials have been ordered or manufacture has started, subject to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

8. Australian Consumer Law

Our goods and services come with consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded, restricted or modified where the Australian Consumer Law applies. Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits your rights to a remedy for goods or services that fail to meet a consumer guarantee. Any additional warranty or promise we provide operates alongside, and not instead of, those rights.

9. Website content and intellectual property

We aim to keep this website accurate and current, but images, colours, dimensions, finishes and examples may differ from the final product. Website content, text, branding, designs, photographs and graphics belong to Gold Star Cabinets & Carpentry or their respective owners. You may use the website for genuine information and enquiry purposes, but must not copy, reproduce, publish or misuse its content without written permission.

10. Privacy and third-party websites

Personal information submitted through this website is handled under our Privacy Policy. We may use third-party providers to operate website, communication or payment functions. We are not responsible for the content, availability or privacy practices of external websites linked from this website.

11. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for loss caused by inaccurate information supplied by a customer or third party, unsafe or unready site conditions, unauthorised changes to our work, misuse, or events outside our reasonable control. This clause does not exclude liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

12. Governing law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Western Australia and applicable Australian law. Any dispute will be handled in accordance with the applicable law and the courts of Western Australia, unless another forum is required by law.
